In this role, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our Sportsbook by compiling and managing odds for assigned events, actively monitoring risk exposure, and ensuring accurate and timely settlement of matches. You will work closely with our IT and Customer Support teams to resolve operational issues and support smooth product performance, while also monitoring betting activity and customer behavior to help maintain a balanced and competitive offering. The role includes shift-based work, including some nights, weekends, and public/national holidays, ensuring continuous Sportsbook coverage and giving you hands-on exposure to all core areas of sportsbook operations. Core responsibilities

• Create, manage, and optimize odds and side markets for assigned sporting events, while taking ownership of designated leagues and markets throughout their full lifecycle from setup and monitoring to settlement and reporting.

• Actively manage risk by monitoring betting activity, market movements, incoming information, and customer betting patterns, taking appropriate action when needed.

• Ensure accurate event settlement and match resulting, including handling cases where results are not automatically updated by providers or internal systems.

• Monitor and handle Sportsbook-related tickets and operational requests, ensuring timely resolution and smooth day-to-day operations.

• Take ownership of Sportsbook products, providers, and operational tools, escalating issues to Development teams or external partners when necessary.

• Provide Sportsbook expertise and day-to-day support to Customer Support teams, including delivering training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities when required.

• Conduct competitor and market analysis, identify opportunities to improve the Sportsbook offering, and present findings and recommendations to management.

• Work on a shift-based schedule, including some nights, weekends, and public holidays, in line with operational business needs.

Experience and key competencies

• Interest in sports betting and betting markets, with strong passion for sports and good knowledge of the sports industry (especially Swedish football and ice hockey; familiarity with other sports like bandy, floorball, handball, basketball, and volleyball is a plus).

• Early experience in Sportsbook bookmaking or a related field is an advantage, but we also welcome candidates who are at the start of their careers. Relevant degree or equivalent experience is a plus.

• Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and risk concepts. Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills; experience with R, Python, or similar tools is an advantage.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to monitor markets, manage risk, and handle operational tasks in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.

• Proactive and collaborative working style, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Fluent written and spoken English and Swedish.

Compensation

At Coolbet, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining your salary, including market benchmarks, specific job family, background, location, skills, and experience. The typical range for this role is 30 000 – 35 000 SEK gross per month. This reflects total compensation.
