Atlassian Administrator
We are looking for an Atlassian Administrator to serve as the overall owner and resident expert of our Atlassian product suite. In this role, you will ensure that Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket remain high-performing and perfectly aligned with the evolving demands of our teams. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the platform, from daily administration and troubleshooting to developing complex automation and custom integrations. Working closely with process owners, compliance teams, and technical managers, you will play a key role in ensuring our technology stack supports seamless delivery across the entire company.
Core responsibilities
Serving as the company expert for the Atlassian Technology Stack, maintaining a deep understanding of Jira (including JPD, Assets, Plans, and JSM), Confluence, and Bitbucket.
Managing all administrative functions, including user management, permissions, and the creation of custom workflows, schemes, fields, and dashboards.
Designing and implementing scalable automation using Jira Automation, Scriptrunner scripts, and Confluence macros.
Establishing and maintaining governance standards to ensure the platform’s structure maximizes the company’s delivery capabilities.
Collaborating with diverse stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical configurations and seamless integrations.
Driving user adoption by developing documentation and conducting training sessions on new upgrades, features, and best practices.
Performing regular data extracts and analysis to ensure data accuracy and to provide recommendations for process improvements.
Managing the lifecycle of Bitbucket repositories, including permissions, security, and integrations.
Proactively identifying opportunities to improve system performance and "design hygiene" within the Atlassian environment.
Experience and key competencies
Strong professional experience (minimum 2+ years) working within the Atlassian Technology Stack in an administrative and development capacity.
Proficiency in configuring and customizing Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket to meet complex business needs.
Programming skills sufficient to manage advanced automation and scripting (e.g., Scriptrunner).
Hands-on experience with Atlassian software migrations and the management of third-party apps and integrations.
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT Operations, Platform Support, and various Business Units.
Analytical mindset with the ability to review system data, identify trends, and propose actionable improvements.
Detail-oriented approach to documentation, ensuring process changes and policies are clearly recorded and communicated.
Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to present technical capabilities to diverse audiences.
Proactive problem-solver who enjoys taking ownership of assigned processes and driving them to completion.
Collaborative and approachable mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and helping others succeed with the tools.
