Financial Data Analyst
In this role, you’ll transform complex financial and KPI data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. You’ll work closely with our BI team as well as FP&A and Corporate Finance to extract, prepare, and visualize data for reporting and analysis. From building BI dashboards to interpreting results for stakeholders, your work will improve how the business monitors performance and makes decisions. You’ll gain exposure to international finance across Estonia, the UK, and the USA within a globally listed group. Core responsibilities
Working closely with the Finance team to transform financial data into reliable, analysis-ready datasets and meaningful visualizations.
Extracting, transforming, and managing data using advanced SQL to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
Turning data into insights by building, maintaining, and improving reports and dashboards using statistical and analytical techniques.
Continuously reviewing reporting performance, identifying gaps or inefficiencies, and improving solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
Identifying technical debt in reporting solutions and actively contributing to cleaner, more scalable data models.
Maintaining clear documentation for data transformations, metrics, and KPIs, ensuring transparency and long-term usability.
Participating in BI team ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives, contributing to iterative improvement.
Proactively exploring new data opportunities and suggesting areas where additional data can unlock deeper business insights.
Experience and key competencies
You bring 2+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or business intelligence in an international setting, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Working knowledge of full-cycle accounting and the ability to interpret and analyze financial statements.
Hands-on experience with Tableau, or any other similar data visualization tool.
Proficient in SQL, including complex querying, data manipulation, and optimizing performance across large datasets. Python knowledge is a plus.
You are curious, detail-oriented, and proactive, able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and confidently take ownership of initiatives.
Skilled at analyzing data from multiple angles, solving problems, and adapting to changing needs.
Fluency in verbal and written communication in English is essential, as it's our primary means of interaction.
